It's been a crazy week.
Lots of good obvi.
This Tuesday we had a conference with President O, it was sooo good. I love my mission president and his wife. My leaders are super awesome too.
Well to go to the conference we had to wake up early and Hermana D wanted to use my hairdryer. She didn't know you can't use it in high or it blows up, so it blew up and our electricity got cut at 6:30 in the morning. We studied with candles for a couple days.
The volcano in Puerto Montt exploded. We saw it happen from over here in San Pablo. The people in Puerto Montt had to be evacuated but as far as I know there haven't been any deaths, just their houses. Keep them in your prayers.
The other day we had intercambios (srry i don't remember how to say it in English, exchanges maybe? idk). I always learn a lot working with the Hermana Líderes.
We've been finding a lot of new people this week. I heard somewhere that out of every 100 people you invite to be baptized only will actually be baptized and stay active. WELL IMMA TALK TA ERRBODY.
This transfer I've really had to learn how to be humble and patient. It so important to be the best we can be but I've realized no matter how hard I study the lessons, the scripture or the language I can never convert someone. That's not my job. I think for a while I was trying to rely on my own knowledge or skills and when someone wouldn't accept the gospel i thought "well I've got to improve". que tonta. This is the Lords work, the spirit is the teacher, and everyone is their own agent. I'm trying my best to be patience, let the spirit do it's job and be what the Lord needs me to be. We're all in the Lords hands; He'll make us what He needs us to be, but we have to submit to His will.
(we got 2 emails!!)
I love your emails.
thanks so much for writing me basically every week. you guys are the best. and my best friends.
I cant believe Brady is like basically a man. i wanna squish him. i don't want him to leave! but at the same time i do. so worth it, the mission.
well i already sent my email but i guess i can include a little more detail. we live in a house made completely out of wood. it's cute and homey, bigger than our house in puerto varas. for heat everyone uses a wood burning stove but our is broken apparently so we haven't been able to make fires. I'm getting use to always being cold though. we have these things called guaterras, it's like a rubber bag that you fill with hot water. they help. it's so pretty here. lots of trees and fields. everyone makes jam. we have like 5 jars in the fridge right now. I'm getting pretty good at chopping wood.
love you guys. sending hugs your way.
praying for you all and those in the ward
